No FOs

I don't have any FOs to show. Been little Miss Domestication lately. I'll be glad when this baking thing passes. I made another batch of rolls today. The batch from the other day didn't last long. (The assistant manager at the store said they were probably the best rolls I've ever made.) I also made biscuits yesterday, and I just got finished making another batch of chocolate chip cookies. Here's the rolls from last time. The ones I made today are exactly the same.

I got one of my Dublin Bay socks finished. I've been working on a baby hoodie for a friend who is due tomorrow. She may have went today to be induced, not sure. They don't know what they're having, so I went with yellow. I don't really care a lot for the yarn. It's one of those "sparkle" yarns, and I find the sparkle strand is mighty picky (you know, gets caught on your needle and pulls so it makes little "puffs"). I have everything done except the hood, and it needs to be sewn up. I'll look on the net for tips on attaching the hood. I've only ever done a couple of hoodies so far, one was for the Littlest One, and I wasn't really happy with how the hood went on. Probably just me being fussy, but since this is being given as a gift I want perfection.

Bernat Baby Co-ordinates (not my favorite to work with, I've found out). It's a free tear-off pattern, plus it's available on their web site. Not sure which buttons to use. I'll decide once it's all done, and that's the last step. We did find a good use for film canisters. We usually put them in a bag and give them to whoever wants them. Some people like the clear ones for paints, others use them for arts and crafts for kids, and even the funeral home gets them for ashes (yes, it's true). We now use them when people buy loose buttons. (We still give them away, too.)

Anyhoo, must go do some knitting. I need a FO.

Shelley has a contest going on that closes tonight!

Happy knitting!

Cool! Just doing the links, and Bernat has a couple of new baby patterns. This one and this one look pretty neat. More stuff for the future niece/nephew!

I love the smell of fresh baked bread. Yum! I too do not like working with that yarn. It is hard to see the stitches...and splits...and well, the finished item comes out great but you may say a few choice words to it.

let me know when you want to do the order ... and from which company for sure. Gimme a call if you want.

I sent in an email for the 52 pair plunge ... haven't received myconfirmation (IO know I won't get them all done, but I'd be pleased if I got half of them done! Plus , it is incentive to knit through the summmer)

It looks like the neighbors had a baby girl (either that or someone there is having a birthday) -- there is a porchload of Pink balloons tied to their front stoop! So I assume they have a baby!
