Logan's Hat Pattern

Here is how I made Logan's hat for anyone who may be interested. It's quick and easy using chunky yarn:

Required: 4.5mm dpns, 6mm dpns, one - 100g skein of chunky yarn (I used Bernat Softee Chunky)

Cast on 76sts on 4.5mm needles and knit 4" K2 P2 rib. End on second row and decrease 3 sts evenly. Change to 6mm needles and work in stocking stitch til work from top of ribbing measures 3".

Shaping: K1. *K2tog. K10 Rep from* to end of row. 67sts.
2nd and alt rows: Knit
3rd Row: k1 *K2tog. K9 Rep from * to end of row. 61 sts.

Cont decreasing like this til you have 13sts. Break yarn, draw up tightly, add pom-pon.

Voila! It's size 4-6.

Happy Knitting!

PS This would be a good, fast hat to make for The Dulaan Project.

Hi Sheri,
The hat is really cute!! I shall have to make one for Peter when he gets older.
The curling is going great....having a wonderful time but the seats are so crowded that I couldn't knit for lack of room to move. And when we get back to the hotel at night I am too darned tired to knit. So Paul's sweater will probably not be under the Christmas tree this year.
See you next week.
