Two of Fifty-Two
You know how sometimes you just gotta "have" something? There's lots of things I see that I'd like to have, and once in awhile I see something I have to have. For example:
Etsy purchase from WhiteWillow, 75% Superwash/25% Nylon sock yarn in snapdragon colorway. Big skein, 460 yds. I fell right in love with it as soon as I saw it. (When you read this, hubby, it's all her fault.** What can I say? I cave to peer pressure. I also had some money in good old PayPal for completing a couple of surveys.) I really shouldn't be splurging right now, but she only had one. There's more stuff I see on Etsy I want (not necessarily yarn), but I will wait til good trips start happening before I order anything else. I promise. (And I really should be investing in some new clothes. I desparately need new summer gear. Haven't bought any since I can't remember when.)
Finished pair two of fifty-two. Good way to get model pictures, when he's asleep. No movement that way, but I still got blurry pictures. :( I've started a pair made the same way (with more stitches, naturally) for the Oldest One. This is Brooklyn Handspun, superwash, in Thomas the Train colorway. It's basically this pattern, but I didn't do the first four rows stockinette, just right into the rib. I also did my normal toe shaping.
** Not that it's a bad thing, Aija!

That yarn is gorgeous. I just don't know how you find the time to do all you do.
no wonder you had to buy it -- it is gorgeous!!! I love it, and I am not a fan of pink (it reminds me of raspberries and blackberries. Who are you going to knit socks for? They look like a keeper for you! What pattern do you have in mind for them?
I was in to the store yesterday -- dishcloth cotton to go in with my mother 's birthday gift -- M said K ordered the Austerman! I am pretty excited -- I want the #7 and possibly the #8!! Please let me know when they arrive!
This new yarn is for me! I don't normally go for pinks, and this looked darker on Etsy (but I still love it!). Now I need to find a pattern for it. (I find it hard to part with sock yarn I buy -- I usually have to specifically buy yarn if I'm planning on making gift socks for someone. I usually get stuff I want, so I can't bear to knit it up for someone else! I'm terrible, I know. I should just get some variety sock yarn for the stash so I've got gift stuff if I need it.)
Will let you know when the Austerman comes in. I know there's at least two I'll be getting before it's gone. There's only two of each color, I think. (For now.) Hopefully it won't be too long before she orders the second batch.
me again ... forgot to mention theat the socks on your little guy are sweet! very cute -- I nabbed that pattern when you posted it, thinking of a pair for my nephew.
Also ... you are a booga machine, girl! Post pics of the pink one! What is the SWS like to work with (aside from being a good felter?)
Love the socks on your little one! They really came out well.
Not a big pink fan, but the yarn looks gorgeous.
I look forward to seeing the latest bag when it is felted.
I am in the blocking mode this weekend. Two shawls and 1 scarf will be finished by tonight!
That yarn is so pretty. I love the sleeping sock model pictures. I could never get my kids to nap after they were about 2 unless they were sick. The socks look great.
That picture was taken at like 11pm. I stayed up to make sure I finished them. I just grafted the toe. I had promised they'd be ready for the next day. :)
Oh my gosh, this yarn is to die for, seriously - these colors are more than awesome indeed! And your little one - well, he's just the cutest, that's for sure!
Love that yarn! The colors are great. I think they will look as a pair of socks for you.
The socks for the little one came out fabulous.
Love the Booga. Bought yarn for one for myself, just haven't done it yet. Now I may have to get motivated, so I can have one too.
Oh, and I'm gonna see if there is a way I can get you a copy of my Ghost Hunters. You do have a dvd player, right?
Now that is some pretty yarn!!!
I Love the modeled sock picture!
Gorgeous yarn!
Your son is too funny, falling asleep anywhere like that. His socks are cute too.
Wow...all that yardage too! Lovely yarn...lovely.
Aww...heh heh...I can't help but take pictures of my boys when they are sleeping too. :)
They are so funny. Is he sporting some mom socks there? :)
