Interlude

I've got no knitting to show. I'm in the process of knitting a pair of slippers for the Boss Lady at work, and I'm also tinkering away on dishcloths for the teachers for their year end gifts. I got them each a nice bottle of aromatherapy dish soap as well, and they'll each get three dishcloths. There's nothing exciting to show yet.

I took the boys fishing a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, but they didn't catch anything. This Saturday there is a derby at this lake in the pictures, hosted by Heddy, I guess you'd say, it's put on by the Region. (Heddy, you can correct me if I'm wrong.) We're supposed to be taking the boys to the derby, then in the afternoon we're having two new windows put in the living room. What we have now in there is one and only one large bow window with five panes. The two end panes are having inserts installed, something we can open. None of the panes open right now, and it gets so hot in there in the summer it's crazy. (The sun shines in the front all day long, which is great in the winter.) It might look a little funky cuz the inserts will make the windows looks smaller on the ends, but I don't care as long as it cools the room off. So I'll have to pass on WWKIP Day this year as my Saturday appears to be fully booked so far.

Yesterday I was out in the yard working on some gardening, and I saw this pretty little guy on my hedge. He didn't move til I accidentally hit the branch he was on with my camera bag, then he flew away.

I dressed Miss Maggie up a bit, but she didn't really like it. I made her sit for a treat, then I took the kerchief off. She was cute with it on, though.

And lastly, I got a scare yesterday. I was on the computer in the kitchen, and Pumba was laying on the desk in front of the monitor as usual (as he is doing as I type). First thing his head hits my hand, it falls over the edge of the desk onto the keyboard. I thought for sure he must have kicked the bucket, I looked to see if he was still breathing. He was, lol. I got one picture before he moved. I wanted to get down lower so you can really see his head laying on the keyboard, but he moved. I find with him that as he gets older he falls into really deep sleeps. His head will just flop to the side, like he's dead, and sometimes I can shake him quite a bit before he wakes up. Silly boy.

Happy knitting!

Good luck at the fishing derby and with your new windows. You will be so pleased to have those this summer. If we ever get summer. :)
