All Socks, All the Time Part 2

Remember how last post I said we had our first snowstorm of the season on like January 27, something like that?  Well, we're making up for it now.  That's all it does now is snow, at least twice a week.  This is the most snow we've had in years, and it's so cold all the time.  I heard on the radio the other day that it's the coldest February in 20 years.  It's hard to shovel and snow blow now because there's nowhere to put the snow, it's hard to pull out of the driveway because you can't see past the snowbanks.  People's roofs are leaking because of the snow and ice build up.  Part of the Halifax Curling Club's roof caved in because of the weight of the snow.  And today now it's nearly +10C, we've got a rainfall warning, everything is melting, there's some flooding happening places and more roofs leaking.  Then Tuesday back down to -8C, rain or snow for Wednesday, and back in the negatives temperature-wise for the rest of the week.  The winter that never was is now the winter that will never stop!  We'll have snow on the ground til May the way this is going.

Anyhoo, I have more socks to show -- SURPRISE! First up are a pair of Par 5 socks knit with Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Lightweight in rose quartz.  Really nice socks, that yarn is a bit thick, so they're nice and cushy soft. Details here.

I made a pair of plain old vanilla ribbed socks for me with Patons Stretch Sock in fruit slices.  I really like this color, they look like jeans socks to me.  Details here.

I used the leftovers for a small pair of ankle socks size 5/6.  Details here.

Lastly, another pair of socks from Socks That Rock in Fred Flintsone, the pattern is Porthos.  Details here.

Next post will probably contain socks, but there IS a FO that is NOT a sock, lol.

Happy knitting!

PS  Remember last post I had a picture of socks that I knit for my youngest boy's school band, they were doing a raffle draw for a big Valentines Basket?  Guess what -- I won it! So I won my socks back, lol.  Along with a whole bunch of other stuff including candy, bath and body stuff, candles, gift cards, jewelry, odds n ends, and a gift certificate for a night at the local Best Western!

All the socks look good, but I love the Par 5 socks the best!

Haha! I think that is so funny (and awesome) that you won your socks back in the raffle!

I love all your sock posting. I'm sorry the weather is pounding you all. I found it very visual when you wrote there was no where to put all the snow ...

Happy Knitting. Keep the socks coming. It's inspiring.
