Cuba 2015 Part Two

So one day the five of us girls decided to go to Guardalavaca to the market. This was the cab we went in, the driver was Carlos, and his wife was a customer relations person at the resort we were at.  Taking a cab (or probably any sort of transportation) in Cuba is kind of taking your life in your own hands.  There really aren't (or don't seem to be) any rules of the road, or not many.

Only three of the guys rented scooters.  It was kind of neat, the taxi we were in, he had different sounding horns.  One was a police car siren.  We came up behind the guys who had no idea it was us, and Carlos turned on the siren, lol.

Guardalavaca has a really nice beach.  This one is a public beach, the resort Club Amigo is located on this beach.  Lots of people tend to go to that one, it's cheaper but it's older, but a lot of people seem to like it.  I took pictures at the market, but better ones were taken on the second trip there, so I will save those for another time.

We missed the lunch buffet, so when we got back to our resort they had this station filled with stuff to make your own ham sub or bun.  I gotta say, this, I think, was the best thing I ate the entire time there.  The food gets quite monotonous, and a lot of it is pretty bland.  But this was really good.

When you eat outside you get lots of winged company, lol.  I fed them some of the bread.

They fog this resort every day for bugs, but when we returned to our room that night this guy was on the wall outside of our room.  He was quite big, probably 3" long.  He flew at me, though, so he wasn't my friend any more.

Happy knitting!
