Bags

I finished two more bags for me! I got my Patons SWS Booga Bag finished, as well as my paprika Classic Wool diagonal bag finished, too. Be prepared for a photo overload. It was a gorgeous day, not too hot, overcast so great for pictures, and I got camera-happy.

My two Boogas together. This is just to show that the Noro Kureyon bag's handle is longer (even though I knit the SWS handle longer than normal). The Noro bag is a bit bigger all around than the SWS bag. The SWS felts up really thick and plush. The Noro is a little floopier, but I love them both! Summer and winter colors! I felt a little bad switching to the SWS bag... (These two pictures are closer to the true color of the SWS bag. The other ones it looks too washed out.)

SIde by side. You can see the Noro bag is a bit bigger in this shot.

Just to show how much bigger the unfelted bag is than the finished one.

One of our yarn reps was in the other day, but I missed her. There are a whole bunch of new SWS colors coming out! Gorgeous solids, and five new striping ones, but they stripe differently than the ones do now. Thicker, longer stripes. There's one I love, and I know Heddy will love it, too. And there's a solid mossy green, too, that's really nice. I guess the SWS is one of their best sellers at the moment. There is also tweed Classic Wool coming! I love tweeds! The shades are a lot like the Shetland Chunky Tweeds. She also had a bunch of samples (none that she left, naturally) of the new Bernat yarns coming out. I already knew they were coming out with more natural fibres. They've got a bamboo, alpaca, wool, cashemere, organic cotton, soy, and a whole lot more.
Blanket that hubby's friend gave to him the other day. Sometimes he dumps the dumpster at one of the local second-hand clothing stores, and this was in it, not a mark on it. (Only clothing and materials go in that dumpster, not normal garbage! Stop cringing!)
Flip side.
The Littlest One had to pose on the blanket. (Yes, it was washed twice, hung out in the fresh air, treated with aromatherapy fabric softener...) He's got a tube of my lip crap there, puckering up for a slimy one.
Devilish looking, huh?
I see some fornicating has been going on in the snail house! I was putting them in a bigger house today, and I noticed all these little white things in the mud, especially under the rocks. These are not our snail eggs, but this is what they look like (only really much, much smaller!). It will be interesting to see how many -- if any -- hatch. I already told them they can't keep all the snails if they do hatch. We have ten snails now! The way these things can reproduce we'll have hundreds in a matter of months.

Thanks, Sock Pal, for commenting a couple of posts back! I'm leaving on Monday for about three weeks (provided nothing changes yet again), so don't feel like you need to be in a mad rush to finish my socks. Thanks for letting me know, though! I appreciate it. I have to get my Pal's socks in the mail tomorrow.
There's a super-easy-to-enter contest going on til August 5 over here.
And The Dulaan Project has come to a definite end. You can read about it here.
Happy knitting!

Love the Booga in the SWS. Ya know, I have been eye balling the SWS in Michael's for a while now, trying to figure out what I can use it for, now I know.

Have a great trip!

I have always loved the Booga Bag (it's the only felted bag I've ever made) but I really like your little diagonal bag with the button!!
