Birth of the Sockapalooza Socks
Started July 1, finished July 26.
Sockapalooza socks, Belle Maman in Austermann Step #09 (whiskey). I used 2.5mm needles, and the only thing I did differently was the heel turn. The knit rows had a K2tog, and I did SSK cuz I like the look of it better.

Now (2007, well technically last summer - no current pics):
Happy 35th, old fart! Now you've caught up with me!
Happy knitting!

Happy Birthday to the lucky Mr.!
Great finished socks, Lexa, I really like the way the pattern and yarn work together. :0)
Love the socks! That pattern looks great in those colors.
And, Happy Birthday to the Big Man!
Happy B-day to your boy ... 35, eh? you 2 are just young 'uns!
nice looking SP4 socks (so far, Whiskey is my favorite austerman colour)- glad to hear you finished before going away on your trip (I am working on mine tomorrow evening and Sunday) Aug. 2nd is next Thursday - less than a week! I gotta get myy arse in gear. I am working tomorrow, so can't work in the day.
The Austermann socks are beautiful - lucky pal!!
35? You two are so young!
Your socks look great! I love the colour and the way it knit up.
Seems a drib cooler this morning. Let's hope it stays that way. I can't take another day like yesterday!
I am thinking about knitting the little pink bag you did for S's little girl (is the blue one done yet?) Would you say it takes more than 1/2 a ball? I have some leftover turquoise that I'd like to make it with, but if I run out- there is none at the shopto finish it off.
I think it is really cute in bright jazzy colours!
thanks for the offer of turquoise yarn ... you don't have to do that! I was just wondering how much it takes ... I don't have enough so I will make one a different colour, or wait until you restock the turquoise. You will have enough left from your slippers to make one yourself!
Have fun on your trip!
Hello, sock pal here! Love your socks. Someone's going to love them.
I'm afraid your own socks are going to be a little late. Life got in the way for a bit, but now I'm less busy again, I'm knitting as fast as I can!
