Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot!
Summer has finally hit here. Too hot! Today when I got off work at 2:30 I headed off to the beach with the boys, figuring it would be cooler there, as it usually is. Not today! The truck read 34C when I left work, and as I got closer to the beach is still said 33C. Took the sock with me, but I only got a few rounds knit.
They rolled around in the water, but it's way too cold for me to stick more than my feet into for a few seconds.
Got some yarn coming from eBay. First up is Schaefer Anne in color 181. This is to make Sweetpea from the new Knitty.
The other one is J Knits Hand Dyed Superwash Sock Me Yarn in Georgia for Dunes of Tinfou socks by Dipsy Doodle. It's been awhile since I bought yarn, so I figured it was time for some new sock yarn!
Of course, the Noofs had to be hams.

PS -- We've got some new yarn at the store. We now have Patons Beehive Baby Sport, really quite nice, and also got some Kroy Stripes and Jacquard sock yarns.

Orange sock yarn! Crazy - who woulda thought? :-)
Beach day looks fun, truck looks good, and Boots there looks like he couldn't be more thrilled with that ensemble. Too cute!!!
We wanted to head to a beach yesterday, but didn't have time - DS's grade 6 grad was last night.
Is the store open on July 2nd? Some friends and I are heading to White Point for lunch, and Liverpool for shopping - hoping some stores will be open.
That looks like Beach Meadows -- 33degrees in beach Meadows?!?!?! Wow! I knew it was hot yesterday, but for it to reach all the way down there is unreal!
The grey sock is coming along ... soon it will be done and you can knit with the Beautiful stuff you have coming from ebay -- nice ! I love the orangey one!
I am off today, so will probably stop by the store for a peek at the new sock yarn. I can't resist a peek!

The orange sock yarn is great! Love that knitting on the beach! That is what I do...bring the kids to the beach so that they can play...and I knit...everyone has a good time. :)
The orangy yarn is great!! :) (So are the hams in front of the shiny truck!)
Just remember that the Littlest Cowboy is eventually going to grow into the Biggest Feet so don't make too much fun of him! He might just remember and get even when he becomes a teenager!

Woah, this is pretty hot - but then again, you have a beach closeby, and I can honestly say that I'm more than a little jealous ;)
And woah, this new yarn looks so awesome - especially the orange one of course, absolutely beautiful! And that truck, wow!!! Absolutely wow! You know what? I'd so love to do a little trip with that, as a passenger of course - I think I'd feel like the queen of the road then! ;) Really impressive machine indeed!
