Blue Tweed Socks

Last Friday was one of our good customer's birthday. 94 years young, he just bought a computer like the one I got last month. He also has an iPhone and all sorts of electronic gadgets and doodads. He loves his toys, that's for sure! He hasn't been able to drive for a couple of years, but before that he was to our store pretty much every single day. Now he only gets in occasionally when his son brings him in. We made sure he was coming last week so we could get him a cake. (He didn't know, but he was probably suspected what was going to happen since we've done this every year since he was about 90!)

I finally got the blue tweed socks (aka the socks from Hell) finished. They just seemed like the took FOREVER to knit. They were started on July 18 and finished on August 4, I used 2.25mm dpns and Invicta sock yarn, just did a 4x2 rib. They're size 13s for Hubs. Ravelry details here.

I started another pair of socks which are just flying off the needles. I started these on August 4th and am about 10 rows past the gusset decreases on the first sock already. Bigger needles, heavier yarn, fun pattern. Ravelry details here.
Waiting for Hubs to get home, then we are off to Bridgewater to do some shopping. Got to drop some paperwork off to our accounting people as well.
Happy knitting!
