PEI Trip Part 2 of 4
This was our first full day in PEI, so we were off to Cavendish. On the way we passed the French fry place.
This guy was Robert Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived. He was 8'11" tall and only lived to be 22. I definitely would not have wanted to knit him socks! (Size 25!!)
After a trip through there we went to the wax museum, which is right next door. That was cool, but Ripley's was better.
You get a deal if you buy a pass to the mini golf when you get your Ripley's ticket, so we ended up mini-golfing when we were finished in the museums.
Then we were off to North Rustico. My friend, knitlibby, had left here the day we arrived. We had lunch, then I visited this store. Nice, nice, nice stuff. They only sell a bit of Briggs & Little and MacAuslands, everything is finished items and some other stuff.
The Littlest One spied this place on the way to lunch. Let me warn anyone here and now that goes over there -- AVOID this place! Talk about rip off. It's like Al Bundy or Homer Simpson made an amusement park. If you've got wee little kids, like toddlers, and don't mind wasting money, then this is the place to go. It was no wonder that they had a sign that said no refunds.
We stayed there for a bit, but the men were hot for unlimited go-karting from 6-10pm at Burlington Amusement Park. One of Hubs's cousins was in PEI with his girlfriend and her family. They arrived around 8, so he raced with the boys.
And that was about it for the second day. We stayed til about 10:20, that was the final go-kart race. Then it was back to the motel with a pizza to rest up for the next day!

Sounds like you guys had a great time. I will say that the Santa's woods place was a ripoff when we took our kids there 30 years ago and obviously hasn't improved!
