My first FO of 2011, I finished up a pair of socks for Hubs. These are
Harris Tweed Socks with
Kroy flax heels, toes, and cuffs and Kr
oy FX camo for the rest of the sock. These were started December 31 and finished January 7.
Ravelry details
here.
This is the
second time I have knit this pattern, and I know it won't be the last.
I also have a little pair of socks finished up for the Littlest One for his birthday on Friday, but I don't have them photographed yet. Up next is going to be a scarf for a friend who had a
mastectomy last week. Going to use
this pattern and
this yarn that was gifted from
Smoking Hot Needles.
It's just starting to snow a bit here, mixed with rain. It's mostly just flurries right now, but it's going to be a nasty day, I think, maybe our first snowfall of any amount, and it's really windy. On Sunday we got our first real snowfall of this winter, but it still only amounted to about two inches. I classed it as our first snowfall, though, cuz I did have to use the shovel a little bit. Looks like maybe I might get to use the snowblower tomorrow. Hard to say, we're right on the coast, so we kinda flutter right around the freezing mark, so it could be rain, could be snow, could be one then the other or a mixture of both. The kids will be happy, though, they are getting let out of school two hours early today. Bet they are hoping for mostly snow so they'll get their first snow day tomorrow!
Happy knitting!

Thanks for the pattern link - these look great! You're such a fast sock knitter!
We have a snow day today. Over a foot has fallen and it has not let up. They called school for today yesterday.
I love when you can sneak in pics of the pups or kitties!!
I just finished walking the dogs after dinner and the moon is out! Maybe our snow is over!
Love the socks. We got a little more than a foot of snow... our first "real" snowfall too, though areas around us have gotten dumped on several times. Weather is a funny thing
I have that sock pattern in my "favs". I might even have some Kroy sock yarn around here. If not, there's plenty of other stuff. I'm using some Trekking right now to make fingerless mitts.
We don't get snow. But it does get cold, by our standards.
Stay inside if you can.
