First FOs of 2016

My first two FOs of 2016 are, of course, socks.  Both are plain old 60st vanilla socks, heel over 30sts, toe to 20sts.  Both are knit with Patons Kroy Sock yarn, the first pair is sweet stripes, the second pair is slate jacquard.  Ravelry details here and here.

I'm on a heavy work sock roll at the moment.  One of the dollar-type stores in town is carrying Briggs & Little Tuffy and Heritage yarns for only $4 + tax a skein.  One of the other spots in town that carries it charges $5.49 + tax a skein, so that's a good deal.  They knit up quickly, too, but I can only knit with B&L on bamboo needles, it kills my hands and wrists.
