Looking at the last post's date, I think I'd better do a catch up post of my latest FOs! First up are some charity baby socks. All three pairs are
Baby Socks, the first two pairs I just did 20 rows for the cuff, but the third pair I did 40 rows to make a turned cuff. Pairs one and three are 2x2 rib, but the second pair I goofed and only did 1x1 rib. The first two pairs are knit with
White Willow Superwash Sock in Snapdragon, the third pair is
Wisdom Yarns Marathon Socks in North Pole. First pair started June 30, finished July 2, the second pair started July 14, finished the 18th, and the third pair started July 24, finished the 25th. Details
here.
This next pair is a Christmas gift (the second one!), just a 2x2 rib with stitch count based on
Thuja, knit on 4.5mm needles using
Briggs & Little Tuffy in oatmeal and red mix,
Briggs & Little Heritage in navy, started July 25 and finished on the 31st. Details
here.
My current project is something that I actually had to buy yarn for -- Hubs has a cousin who is due the 23rd of this month. They decided not to find out the sex of the baby, and our LYS is really limited to what is available, I wanted something not 100% acrylic. So I went with
Patons Decor in aran. The pattern is
Garter Rib Baby Blanket. I doubt this will be finished before the baby comes, but hopefully it will be close. I also should be working on a pair of socks for BFF who has a birthday on the 22nd. We shall see.
So that is about it for now. Such beautiful weather here lately it makes it hard to get much knitting done!
Happy knitting!
