Hederas on the Beach

We went to yet another beach yesterday, one that we haven't been to yet this summer. It's a big beach, but there's never hardly anyone there. If you count 12 people total on the beach that's usually it.

I found the breeze a little cool. We didn't stick in one spot very long, so I only got one 4-row repeat done of BF's Hederas. I'm using the Arequipa that I won from NovaKnitter's blogiversary contest and loving it!

Funky ridges in the sand -- it was low tide, and this was down at the end where the fresh water stream runs into the ocean.

I had a momentary panic attack yesterday -- saw this laying all over the place in the living room. Good thing it was a non-working display model the kids brought home from the store! Oh, the Evil that is my Maggie!

Got a friend who wants me to knit her a little toddler's dress size two. I have to find out when she needs it by -- I have to finish up BF's birthday stuff to send hopefully by the end of next week. (Her birthday is the 22nd, she's in Alberta, I'm in Nova Scotia.) I also have a friend who is having a baby shower on the 23rd, and there were a couple of worsted weight things I wanted to make for her. I may not be able to make the shower that day, we may be going here, depending on the weather, so that could buy me some more time.

Off to town to do some errands. No beach today, the Littlest One has a soccer game at 5.

Happy knitting!

Lovely hederas! My mom made me a pair in pink and they are my favourite socks.

That looks like the same color Ariquipa that I used in Latvian Dances - soooo pretty for Hederas! I wish we had beaches that empty!

oooh pretty hederas (I wish I was Sharon! she will LOVE them! the Arequipa is sooooo soft and I love the colours it comes in ... that one you are knitting with is a beauty!) I have dug out my bag with the night and day Hederas in it, and am going to try to figure out where I am in the pattern, and get them finished off - hopefully this week (the bag is out, but I haven't removed them from the bag yet!)
