Boxing Day Catch Up

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas yesterday.  Santa found us, I'll have pictures later on, I haven't transferred them from the camera yet.

Here's a little catch up of my final pre-Christmas projects:

I made another pair of vanilla Blue Ice socks.  The yarn is Mary Maxim Twinkle Toes, knit on 2.5mm needles, started November 29, finished December 9.  Details here.

Nephew came home from Alberta for Christmas.  Part of his gift consisted of two pairs of Briggs & Little wool socks.  I used Heritage in dark grey, red, and evergreen.  I just did a 2x2 rib, knit on 4mm needles, first pair started December 11, finished the 15th, second pair started on the 15th, finished the 18th.  Details here.

I also made a couple of Irish Hiking scarves, the blue one won't be gifted until January.  It's for the boys' music instructor.  (He broke his ankle a bit ago and had to finish up music lessons and band at the end of November because of doctors appointments and such.)  The yarn is Patons Shetland Chunky in medium blue.  I modified the pattern to a two-cable scarf because of the chunky yarn, knit on 6mm needles, started on November 29, finished December 3, details here.

The second Irish Hiking scarf was made with Patons Shetland Chunky as well, but in charcoal. This one was made for the Littlest One's teacher. Started on December 3, finished the 11th, also modified to two cables and knit on 6mm needles, details here.

My last FO was probably the ugliest pair of socks I've ever made in my life, lol.  The boss lady loves her flip flops and was sad when the weather got too cold to wear them.  Someone mentioned flip flop socks one day.  Then on another occasion I heard her tell someone that I was making her a pair for Christmas.  So I did, but if I would have had more time I would have tinkered with the toes more.  Not right happy with those. I based it on this pattern, but I really did not care for the instructions at all, very confusing.  So I winged it based kind of on the pattern instructions.  The yarn is Austermann Step, knit on 2.5mm needles, started December 21, finished the 24th, details here.

Merry Christmas!
Happy knitting!
