Catch Up

I finished up some items that I've been slack in posting.  I still have two more that aren't washed and blocked yet.  But here goes with the stuff that IS done.

First up a plain roll brim hat destined for the Christmas gift box.  The yarn in Patons Shetland Chunky Tweed in charcoal tweed, Ravelry details here.

Next up is a pattern I bought eons ago, I have the mittens pattern, too, but haven't gotten around to them yet.  Hermione's Cable and Bobble hat in Briggs & Little Tuffy in red mix, details here.

A pair of socks for the Christmas gift box, Hedgerow Socks in Lion Brand Sock Ease Solids, details here.

An alpaca boucle cowl for me, the pattern is here, the yarn is Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca Boucle, details here.

These socks are like night and day.  Yes, they are the same color, and yes, they are the same dye lot.  It's hard to believe looking at them.  Thank goodness they're for me. The yarn is Patons Kroy FX in canyon colors, plain old vanilla socks, details here.

Since I wear slippers out so incredibly fast, I made myself a pair of work-style ankle socks out of some leftover Briggs & Little Tuffy I had, hoping the nylon will make them last longer once fall weather, slipper wearing weather hits.  Details here.

I haven't bought yarn in a LONG time, I'm tyring to use up some stuff I've had for ages and ages.  I made one of these before and gave it away, this one is for me,  It's 5th Avenue Infinity Scarf, made with yarn I bought years ago when there used to be a Zellers store around, dirt cheap, 4 skeins, $4.  It's an acrylic/wool blend, bagged like mill ends.  Horrid feeling to knit with, but it washes up nicely.  Details here.

I needed some easy knitting, so I made two dishcloths out of leftover Bernat Handicrafter.  The pattern is Boxy Dishcloth, details here.

Another cowl for me, Simple Yet Effective, the yarn is Wandering Cat Yarns Twinkle Cat DK in Sprite.  Details here.

Lastly - for now - is Be Simple Variations, for me, out of Koigu Painter's Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM), details here.

I soon have to break my yarn diet and buy some.  I am running out of things I really want to knit, there's just not much left anyways, and I need some simple knitting for car rides and stuff.

Happy knitting!
